-1765 DONALD MUNRO LAND GRANT-
In November 2019, a 1765 King George III land grant for French and Indian War veteran Donald Munro (1738-1806) was uncovered in the Michigan home of his great-grandson, James Leonard Munro (1849-1935). Donald served in the 77th Highland Regiment of Foot and the document identifies land awarded to him like most veterans who remained in the colonies. The images below showcase the document after its conservation (January 2021).
